GTG Duct
Overview
Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) is a power generation facility that can generate electricity by heating a mixture of air and fuel to a very high temperature and rotating the turbine. GTG is installed near petrochemical plants, especially Ethylene Plant (NCC), and play an important role in supplying high-temperature combustion gas essential for combustion of crackers' burners in addition to power generation.
It moves to the cracker through the hot gas duct used for turbine operation, and in order to minimize energy loss until it reaches the cracker, the inside of the duct (outside if the diameter is small) has Ceramic Fiber Blanket Lining with excellent insulation performance and SUS Liner Plate are installed to prevent abrasion caused of wind speed of gas.
Lining and Liner plate specifications and thickness are determined by design temperature and wind speed, and an installation method that is not affected by flow direction is required.
