Overview

FCCU (Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit) converts high-octane petrochemical products such as LPG and Gasoline by exposing high molecular weight (heavy) hydrocarbons in crude oil to Fluid Catalytic (fluidized catalyst) refining facility.

The raw material and fluidized catalyst repeatedly fed through the Reactor-Regenerator-Riser are circulated at a very high speed in a high-temperature environment, which causes continuous wear of the lining installed inside the facility.

Since the fire-resistance linings of major containers and refractory linings in transfer line often require periodic maintenance every turn around. Therefore, to improve the run length of equipment by reducing the number of repairs for refractories, above all else, it is essential to construct a refractory lining that has excellent abrasion resistance while minimizing energy loss.
