IntroCeramic Fiber Blanket
Overview
Ceramic Fiber Blanket is a refractory material manufactured in the form of a blanket by needleling ceramic fibers extracted by blowing or spinning raw materials melted at 1800℃.
It is composed of products with various characteristics and temperature range (1000℃~1600℃) depending on the composition of raw materials.
Classification
• RCF(ASW) Blanket
• AES Blanket
• PCW Blanket

RCF(ASW) Blanket
Alumina Silicate Wool (ASW) Blanket, widely known as RCF (Refractory Ceramic Fiber), is a representative ceramic blanket made mainly of Alumina (Al2O3) and Silica (SiO2).
Products with a temperature range of 1000°C to 1500°C are typical, and service temperature and heat resistance can be improved by adding Zircon and Chrome Oxide.

AES Blanket
AES (Alkaline Earth Silicate) Blanket is also called Bio-Soluble Fiber because it contains alkaline earth metals such as calcium and magnesium and silica as main components, and it has the property of being smoothly discharged even if it is absorbed into the human body.
Since it is harmless to the human body, it is being actively used in the European market, where environmental and safety standards are strict, and the operating temperature is 1000℃~1430℃.

PCW Blanket
Polycrystalline Ceramic Wool (PCW) is an ultra-high temperature ceramic product that can be used more stably in a higher temperature environment than RCF and AES.
It is divided into mullite-based fiber products with excellent high-temperature stability and α-Alumina-based fiber products that exhibit stable performance in reducing hydrogen and alkaline vapor atmospheres, and has significantly less shrinkage than other ceramic wools.
